EAST GREENWICH PERFORMANCE PHYSICAL THERAPY MOVES ON UP(STAIRS) TO BIGGER SPACE

The grand opening and ribbon cutting is just in time to celebrate their five-year anniversary

East Greenwich, RI – Performance Physical Therapy celebrated the grand opening of their new East Greenwich office with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, January 25 at 1 p.m. After years of steady growth in their patient population, the flourishing practice - which celebrates its five-year anniversary in February - knew it needed more room. And luckily, additional space was available right upstairs.

The second-floor clinic has more private treatment rooms than their current location and a gym that’s double the size and stocked with new equipment, like a sled for pushing and pulling activities, plyometric boxes for jumping, turf flooring and more treatment tables. The changes will allow the practice to provide more occupational therapy options to their patients, as well as enhance therapy for athletes and their general patient population. "Our patients and staff are really excited," said East Greenwich Clinic Director and physical therapist Megan Marcello. "The added space will allow us to better serve our patients and anyone in pain.” Marcello added that the bigger location will also be able to host exercise classes and balance and movement classes, and educational workshops. “That’s huge for our patients,” she said.

Executive Director of the East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Stephen M. Lombardi said the Chamber was pleased with Performance Physical Therapy’s expansion. "We are proud of their growth – it is an indication of their commitment to the East Greenwich community.”

The move upstairs also allows for renovation of the first-floor office they’re moving from. The first floor will reopen in a few months as a practice dedicated exclusively to women's and men's pelvic health and wellness. It will be run by Dr. Melissa Nassaney, PT, MS, DPT, Performance Physical Therapy's new (and first) Director for Women's and Men's Health & Pelvic Rehab.
